EMDR
There are experiences that feel stuck.
You may have talked about them, understood them logically, and still feel their weight in your body or your reactions. EMDR offers a different pathway to healing.
Based on the Adaptive Information Processing (AIP) model, EMDR helps the brain reprocess memories that have been stored in a distressing and unintegrated way. Through bilateral stimulation, the brain is able to do what it was originally meant to do, process and resolve.
In EMDR therapy, we work together to:
Identify memories that feel “activated” or unresolved
Reduce the emotional intensity connected to those experiences
Shift negative beliefs toward more adaptive, grounded ones
The goal is for those experiences to feel like something that happened, not something that is still happening.
