Perinatal & Postpartum

This season of life is often described as joyful, but for many, it is also heavy, complex, and deeply emotional.

There can be moments of connection and love, alongside moments of exhaustion, anxiety, grief, or even a quiet sense of disconnection from yourself. You may find that your thoughts feel different, your body feels unfamiliar, or your emotions feel harder to steady. You may also be holding expectations, your own or others’, about what this time should feel like.

You may be feeling disconnected, anxious, overwhelmed, or not like yourself. These experiences are real and valid, and they deserve space, not silence.

Research in Perinatal Mental Health and Interpersonal Therapy (IPT) shows that mood and anxiety challenges during pregnancy and postpartum are influenced by a combination of biological changes, shifts in identity, and evolving relationship dynamics. This is not just an individual experience, it is a relational and systemic transition that deserves care and support.

Our work focuses on:

  • Supporting emotional regulation during pregnancy and postpartum

  • Processing birth experiences, expectations, or unexpected outcomes

  • Navigating changes in identity, partnership, and family roles

  • Creating space to reconnect with yourself in the midst of change

The goal is not to “bounce back,” but to help you feel supported, understood, and more connected as you move through this transition and into who you are becoming.
