Family of Origin
So much of who we are was shaped before we had language for it.
The ways we learned to communicate, manage emotions, take on roles, and understand ourselves often developed within our family system. These patterns can continue to show up in adulthood, especially in close relationships, sometimes in ways that feel automatic or difficult to change.
You may notice repeating dynamics, internalized expectations, or emotional responses that feel familiar, even when they no longer serve you.
Using intergenerational approaches, we explore how patterns are passed down over time and how awareness can create space for change.
In therapy, we:
Identify recurring patterns, roles, and relational dynamics
Explore how your family system shaped your beliefs, behaviors, and emotional responses
Increase your ability to differentiate, staying connected to others while maintaining a strong sense of self
Support you in creating new, more intentional ways of relating
This work is not about assigning blame to your family, but about understanding the context you came from so that you can make more conscious choices moving forward.
The goal is to increase awareness, expand your sense of choice, and support you in building relationships that feel more aligned, authentic, and grounded.
